Agree totally - US Army officer for 6 years so I understand that open disobedience has to be dealt with quickly and firmly.
To the previous poster (WMarshal) - I wrote too quickly on the “serving at the pleasure of the President” part. I looked up the commissioning document and it has those words. My apologies...
I got Court Marshalled for disobeying a lawful order. Lucky for me I was just busted down to Pvt. and fined. Could have been a lot worse.
