May not be in the best interest of CINC to outright fire this guy (though it would or should set a precedent when it comes to ‘disputing’ his orders) but I am sure there is a rock or something in the Arctic or Antarctic ocean that could use a Coast Guard presence.
There is. He should be relieved of his position, ASAP, awaiting court martial, and no ticker tape parade like MacArthur got. Trump has had a lot of experience at firing people. Going public like he did, is especially low down. Trump needs to make an example out him, before this stuff gets out of hand.
