Yes. He was desperate for a mother, having never really had a mother (or a father). Yoko was a mother figure to him. At his core he was a very insecure guy.

I’m sure you already know this.

I often forget, because I'm a flawed human. One of my older sisters got in an awful fight with a younger sister years ago, and says she will never forgive her. I told her that she always says she's a devout Catholic, so why not turn the other cheek and forgive little sister. After that, she rarely calls me any more, let alone our mutual little sister. It's been about 30 years now and she's in her 70s. Also, older sis has done some crooked stuff to me but I forgave her and let it go. As I said, I'm a flawed human but it's tough convincing siblings that they're just as flawed. And thank you for reminding me that I stink, by saying so in a nice way!
