I think he said he started it several months ago. He probably just announced it now because things have been getting out of hand, and people are claiming he’s not doing anything because he doesn’t announce his every move.

We’re six months into his term as AG and not one high-level person has done a perp walk, even though the public record contains more than enough information to convict dozens if not hundreds or even thousands of them.

He doesn't have to announce his every move - he needs to start putting the screws to some of the swamp creatures in DC. This presser amounted to another strongly-worded letter, which is probably one of the few things the GOP is good at. Poor Trump is saddled with a bunch of wimps, unfortunately, and Sessions is one of them.
