Seems governments would join together and clean up the massive zones of floating plastic. That is real. Global warming? I see no real evidence.

3 years, eh? Just in time for the next US presidential election.

How convenient.

Let’s take her at her word. Since all the bad stuff has already happened, let’s party hearty because we can’t do anything about it!

It’s not “flat Earth.” Flat Earth is plausible. GloBULL warming is not.

Seems like now would be a good time to buy land in Montana or N. Dakota.

Christiana Figureres, the former head of the United Nations’ Framework Convention on Climate Change

One only need see the words "United Nations" to immediately conclude that it is the prattling of idiots, and upon which further time should not be wasted.

When the AGW ‘scientists’ all start moving to Greenland and Norway and Siberia I’ll consider believing them. Nah, probably not even then. They’re just nutty.

Yeah, that great Pacific garbage patch drama is a hoax as well. Some random pieces of flotsam have gathered in a not-so-big slow-turning eddy and the snowflakes freaked out about it. there are boats designed for harvesting kelp that could easily be used to gather up the small patch of debris, but it’s just not worth it. Besides, some fish thrive on having a shaded area in the middle of the ocean.

“Christiana Figureres”

No background in climate science. Has studied anthropology. Is from Costa Rica, and is connected (Father was Costa Rican President, Brother was Costa Rican President). She may be sincere, and I’ll take that at face value, but I favor the public discussion that the Trump administration is promoting. Let the public, including the general scientific community, see the raw data and hear the subject debated. All of the projections being made are based upon computer modeling. Few other fields (other than pure mathematic disciplines - like calculating and projecting the orbit of a spacecraft around the moon) are able to accurately predict behaviors with computer models. Climate is complex, with many variables that are not well-understood. It should be debated - not politicized.

As an aside, they politicized American medicine. Look how that worked out.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

I’ll never get out and off this starship alive. It was destiny or dying nasty or some such luck. Am certain about the luck part but it for certain was not climate change and if it was ... the seasons continue to come regular ... much like waste expulsion ... so I know those scientist spend time at the crapper

Christiana Figureres has a masters degree in social anthropology, so of course when she warns us that we only have "three years left to get emissions moving sharply downward", you know that there can be no possible argument against that.

Well, no, actually, not at all. She is a professional leftist agitator who has no credibility.
