Chinas President Xi Jinping, clad in combat fatigues and overseeing one of the largest displays of military might in recent memory, applauded members of the nations Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) Sunday while warning them to remain ready for fight, capable of combat, and sure to win.
The PLA will observe its 90th anniversary on August 1. To celebrate, the Chinese government staged massive military exercises in the Inner Mongolia region, overseen by Xi and culminating with a presidential address to the troops. An estimated 12,000 troops participated in the exercises at Zhurihe, the largest military training facility in Asia. Who’s going to invade China?
Ask Mr. Xi if he speaks Japanese...
I have this uneasy feeling that if the U.S. and its allies were to engage NK militarily, the Chinese would see that as a threat to its own borders and go to war to defend NK.
I know it sounds crazy, but what isn't crazy these days?
I see this as China sending a clear message to KJU, in advance of a U.S. attack on North Korea - “Hey, Kimmy, Don’t even think of sending your refugees across our border!”
we will run out of manpower long before they do.
also their troops are lean and hard while ours are spoiled.
That’s crazy talk, Douglas. The Chinese would never go to war for the Norks in a million years.

Corporal Caitlyn says nuh-huh.
So you served?
I did.
Congratulations, warrior.
Where on earth did you get the idea that our Marines are spoiled?
if that is not true for Marines I am greatly relieved.
also I was a builder not a warrior.
I honestly can’t say that I know first-hand with the current crop...
But I also wouldn’t walk up to a group of them and say that it was a fact. Too damn risky if you’re wrong.
As a Chinese I know it is impossible. Xi dares not to engage in the war. You do not know China.
I will be the first to admit that I don't know China.
Perhaps you can explain to me why China seems not to be taking any action to pressure NK into abandoning its provocative and dangerous path.
