Sundance is missing the point.

Yesterday there was one option on the table - the “Skinny Repeal” which was Obamacare light. Had it passed who knows what would have come out of conference if anything, and when if ever would the House have approved it?

Looking to this wussy Republican Congress do fix anything is a misake.

Now Trump is free to point out the failure of Congress to act, and move forward with everything he can do via Executive Orders. Anyone who doesn’t like that can make their choice in next year’s midterm elections - vote to continue with their failed congressman or get behind Trump.

McCain will probably not be a factor by then.

There are more options today than there were yesterday. Just stop looking for Congress to be the solution to problems created by Congress.

Murkowski just won reelection as did the execrable McCain (a good friend worked for a senator in an adjoining office to McCain’s and said you would suffer through hearing daily torrents of verbal abuse he would hurl at his staff, he’s a real nutjob with an utter lack of class or loyalty). I don’t blame Collins as much because she was at least consistent and like Snowe when she was a senator, stuck with us on the initial Obamacare vote. The ones that really need to be spotlighted in advertising are the so-called “moderate” Democrats up for reelection next year - Heitkamp in North Dakota, Tester in Montana, Manchin in West Virginia in particular - are all in states won by Trump by 20 to 40 points. They shouldn’t be allowed to side with the enemy on this and then cosy up with conservative “words” when running for reelection. Who is running against Heitkamp? Who is running against Tester?

That might be the best solution. However, I can see the judges blocking his every move. Our best hope is having a few more Trump appointed supreme court judges.
