“Recall is unconstitutional per some SCOTUS case.”

Ok. Thanks for the info. I remember a few years back when California recalled their governor, but I guess that falls under state law.

Congressional Research Service CR 30016: Recall of Legislators and the Removal of Member of Congress from Office has the summary details.

It's a pretty easy read. Generally, beware the CRS pieces have been known to misrepresent the case law the report cites. I ran into this on Presidential eligibility. I have no reason to think the gist of the eligibility and recall summary is wrong, but if it mattered to me, I would review every citation the report makes. The Term Limits case, 514 US 779 (1995) is enough to convince you that recall of an elected federal official isn't in the cards. Congress can expel a member, but the public can't cut the elected term short.
