“Eighteen states have recall provisions. Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado,
Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey,
North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin all have recall of some
kind available to their voters. Only seven of these states require any grounds.
Some examples:
Alaskas Constitution, Article XI, Section 8 states;
All elected public officials in the State, except judicial officers, are subject to recall by the voters
of the State or political subdivision, from which elected.
Procedures and grounds for recall shall be prescribed by the legislature.
Alaskas statute AS Section 15.45.510 allows recall for lack of fitness, incompetence, neglect of duties and corruption.”

Lots of good history in 2nd link, already started my research. I would forget about McCain nature will take care of that. Maine doesn’t have recall elections. Murkowski would make a splendid example though ... this is something the grassroots should get very proficient and formulaic about ... incumbents will have to spend funds, and the grass roots will show up in droves. Sarah could be a great help, also.
Thanks for the info.

Here is how it works in Az. Az does have a recall provision but it depends on whether the candidate signed the optional “Commitment to resign if recalled” form during their run for office, most do to help them become elected. And McCain signed one every run including his last term.
What this means is if Az holds a special election to recall and it goes in favor of a recall then a Senator who has signed this resignation form legally has to resign without question or argument.
I chased this all down during McCain’s last term and found that he did indeed sign and promise to resign. But this time around I’m not sure if he did or not. The Az Gov sites have now removed this information from their sites. They are hiding all the information I had found the last time I chased it down and the links in my notes are now dead.
So I’m having trouble locating the PDF document of his form if he did sign one again this time around. If he did then he can indeed be recalled at any time. I talked to Kelli Ward about her team looking into this and finding out if he did or not.
States may not afford to the requirements and methods for election of Federal officials outlined in the Constitution. That’s why you need a Constitutional Amendment to get term limits on Senators, and why you can’t recall them. There were lots of state term limit laws passed too. They were ruled invalid and unconstitutional in the case of Senators.
Senators, Presidents and House members can not be recalled by the voters.
I live in AZ and I don’t think we should forget traitor MCcain. He ran for offfice promising to repeal Obamacare. He’s a lying sack of sh*t and needs to be held accountable. I would be happy to start helping to collect signatures.
