CONgress doesn’t wan’t a deal...they want kickbacks from the healthcare industries.
Problem is the “deal” will be Single Payer because at that point the entire nation will be in a Chicken Little panic.
I don’t get the comments here. The right vote is NO to any changes to Obamacare. Not our job to fix this fiasco. The right vote is TOTAL REPEAL. Go back to the day before Obamacare was passed. This government has absolutely no business in this issue. All I’ve been hearing for the past 8 years was REPEAL, REPEAL, when the eff did REPLACE become our mantra?
If this bill was passed then Americans would blame republicans for the disaster that will surely ensue. Am I missing something?
Any tweaking or changes to keep Obamacare on life support will allow the Democrats to blame Republicans for destroying Obamacare and half the population will believe it. Let it be Obama's signature legacy and leave it alone and let it die.
I guess it is safe to say McCain is going to run for President in 2020 as a Democrat. He’s the right age and has the same brain capacity as a Democrat.
At this point if I were the administration I would issue a statement that HHS was going to enforce ObamaCare EXACTLY as written, passed and signed into law by the democrats. No changes, no adjustments, no measures to save it, no additional funding. Execute it to the letter of the law and make sure everyone knows what you are doing and who is responsible for the original bill in its entirety. Then let it die the death the democrats intended from the get go. Just make sure that you never stop reminding people who is responsible for the bill as written.
I'd be more content if his was a Mass Grave. He needs company in the hereafter and we have plenty of volunteers, even if they have to be forced to volunteer. Aside from my President, I'm done with the lot of 'em. They can all die and go straight to hell. They want me and mine to live Hell on Earth, they can live it for an eternity.
The plan was get the process started by this piece of legislation and build upon changes incrementally.
Of course many will argue its not practical nor acceptable. In any event, the republicans have smoked out.
If the Republicans haven’t been able to put together a deal they can agree on before the collapse then they sure aren’t going to do it afterwards.
I’ll watch, Mr. President. What can I do but trust you at this point? I hope you are right. Help it implode, if you can.

So I guess we let it implode. It’s already imploding.
Many more will suffer this way. But the turncoats among our legislators don’t care.
I am grateful for the many good representatives and senators we have. But we don’t have enough.
