Very well stated... These are the absolute facts. The only reason he got elected again is because he is supported by all the huge Military Arms Contractors like Textron, Rockwell Collins, General Electric, Honeywell, Raytheon, ATK and thousands of others. These companies charge the military and then use this money to support John. There is no way to beat a cartel this large, with these type of funds available, and with this level of power and influence.
But in this is the pure and simple reason and explanation for how John works. He is the front man and lead salesman for the Military Industrial Complex. He will use any means possible to sell more military contracts and arms to anyone both foreign and domestic. Even if he has to side with the Democrats to do it. All he cares about is War...War...War to bolster sales.
As soon as Trump hinted like he might REDUCE war John went on the Warpath against him.

It wasn't exactly "rabid". Much of his support here was a result of his VP choice. Without Palin, his loss would have been even worse.

Everyone I talked to did not vote for him. In fact he was denounced and lost the support of the Az Republican Party during his last term. He should have lost from all the indicators I see.
The only way he could have won is because all the Ex-military hardliners who still consider him a hero and Az has a lot of these retirees who have moved here, And the Phoenix Liberals from California and Mexico who do not represent true Arizona principles.

Normally I would agree with you about a full repeal. Because both the previous GOP bills were just as bad or worse than Ocare. But this “skinny Repeal” was indeed an indirect repeal of the whole of Ocare. The items they were repealing would have cut the head off of the snake called Ocare and it would have been rendered pretty much null and void without them. We are NEVER going to get a full repeal so this was as close as we were going to get and would have had the same outcome as a full repeal.
And John just screwed it up on purpose...
