If I might suggest, a top-of-page banner line like "We're under attack again, please be patient" might help us FReepers keep our cool as you guys do battle with the forces of evil.

If nothing else it might cut back on the "Is FR slow today?" vanity threads. :-)

Then again, it also lets the attackers know they're having the desired effect, which is a downside.

THAT ALONE makes the top-of-page banner worthy! I particularly hate those stupid vanity threads and there's rarely just one! In fact, I can recall spotting 4 separate "Is FR Slow for You, too?" vanity threads posted within minutes of one another. Unreal! How dense and dumb can a person be? Sheeesh.
