OMG! Eric Cantor Admits GOP Promise To Repeal Obamacare Was ALL A LIE
thegatewaypundit ^ | Joshua Caplan

Before he was defeated by unknown economist Dave Brat, then Minority Whip Eric Cantor led the charge to repeal Obamacare. Day in and day out, the GOP Rep. railed against the disastrous healthcare plan, using the hot button issue as ammo to drum up political support and boost fundraising efforts.

In a stunning admission, Cantor now admits the GOP was never serious about repealing the healthcare bill. It was all a charade.

The Washingtonian reports:

Cantor helped create that perception. Earlier that summer—after many failed attempts over the years to shred the law piecemeal—Cantor promised colleagues that the House would vote on a “full repeal.” But even after it did, the measure was dead on arrival in the Democratic-controlled Senate. Cantor—in Congress 13 years and, fairly or unfairly, once thought to be above electoral reproach—paid the price. His 2014 avenger, now-congressman David Brat, bludgeoned him for being soft on Obamacare, among other things. But the failure to make a dent in the law landed a bigger blow on the party. After seven years of pledging they could dismantle Obamacare, if only they had control of Congress and the White House, Republicans—at last in charge of both—have faced deep divisions over a replacement.

Asked if he feels partly responsible for their current predicament, Cantor is unequivocal. “Oh,” he says, “100 percent.”

(The affordable Care Act) is so convoluted the Obama people had to put "helpers" across the country to explain to people how to use it.

(Pelosi saying you must pass the bill to find out whats in it)....stay with that video and listen to Nan lie, again and again.

(ACA Architect: 'The Stupidity Of The American Voter' Led Us To Hide Obamacare's True Costs From The Public)

This ACA is so flawed, no one can explain how it works and the figures of those insured and not insured is more than questionable as I have never heard to number repeated twice REPEALREPEALREPEAL THE WHOLE 2300 PAGES..OPPOSED to the Trump administration's 46 pages.....Stay with these videos.....one rolls into the next watch Pelosi make up facts when she can't cite the original meaning...she can't as they are unanswerable. (Pelosi ....)

“These rinos are going to get primaried.”

They fervently assured us: “Our sine qua non (`without which, nothing else’) is—we must have the Congress and the White House. Just give us these things and, oh, the places we’ll go!”
They have the Congress and the White House now yet they still helplessly spin their wheels.

So we’re no better than we were when they all bravely voted their 39 votes `Nay’ on Obamacare—knowing that their pals on the left had the votes. Just as they knew how things would end late yesterday.
Their feigned white-hot fury over the law ... and we bought it. But now they use their retiring members to vote nay on repeal. The GOP: the great nay-sayers.

As our old pal Spock might say, “It’s only logical”. Why support them? They are happier as a do-nothing minority party pleading an inability to accomplish anything and begging us to elect them (SEE: `Marco Rubio’ a TEA party favorite who, as soon as he had his legs under him started arguing for legislative amnesty rubber-stamping Obama and the Democrats) so they could fight the good fight ... et cetera and so on.

But now, are they actually working with President Trump to accomplish conservative goals—the president they ridiculed, fought and oppose even still? Are they using the power we gave them, as they promised to do?

Fuggedaboudit. They promised fireworks but they give us their Collins & Grahams, their ubiquitous Bushes, McCains and Romneys and other failed, fizzling squibs all pile-on the White House while President Trump, their reviled “Not a conservative!” foe, alone fights for us.

Anybody every tell me that voting for a rino is the lesser of two evils they can go jump in a lake.

No, no, no....the correct phraseology on this is, "go jump in the lake 3 times, and come up twice!"

No, let’s not acknowledge that because ITS NOT TRUE.

Most Americans would like to not work and get 364 days of vacation a year and own a mansion and be free from responsibilities. Let’s be fair and acknowledge that too.

Oh and ponies... all girls want ponies and let’s acknowledge that.

The fact of the matter is that medicine is a limited resource and no amount of money thrown at the problem will ever solve it. Even in countries with so called “single payer” and “universal health care” the government rations out medicine and decides who gets it and who doesn’t and, of course, the political ruling class always gets it and gets priority at it and then the politically favored aclasses and only THEN will Joe citizen get a crack at it.

The political ruling class sells you this lie by telling you you’ll die if you don’t get let them control you this way.

That’s abominable and you know it.

Get the government out of healthcare - period.

I’ve posted this before but apparently no one knows it. Congress IS on Obamacare. It was mandated they use the exchanges. The difference is that the Washington DC exchange where they buy their insurance has a bunch of different gold plated plans for them to choos from and the federal government/we pay on average 72% of their premiums.
If you’re going to sent notes, tweets, etc make sure they’re correct.
Congress is on Obamacare.

Strategically and tactically, Trump needs to tweet this and force the pubbies to tell him he is wrong, that they are going to repeal it and then, Trump can’t lose by tweeting this!!!

Think about it...it would be genius to Tweet it!

No, let’s not acknowledge that because ITS NOT TRUE.

Baloney. Let me go through a list of the types comments I've read about ObamaCare's "repeal" ...

"I hate ObamaCare but I want my insurance company to cover my 24 year-old child with [INSERT MEDICAL CONDITION HERE]."

"I hate ObamaCare but I want my insurance company to cover my pre-existing [INSERT MEDICAL CONDITION HERE]."

"I hate ObamaCare but insurance companies should not have annual or lifetime benefit caps."

"I hate ObamaCare but my employer should be obligated to pay for my insurance."

In other words, everyone hates ObamaCare but most people have one or more provisions of it that they absolutely love.

And these aren't random comments that I find posted on various internet stories on the subject. These are comments you'll find among pretty staunch conservatives right here on FREE REPUBLIC.

So, yeah -- I think my assessment of what we're dealing with is pretty accurate.

The whole concept of “Congress” is flawed because they are all ‘on the take’ and there are people, companies, and countries all lined up to bribe them. How many poor Congresscritters or Senators do you know of?

BS. Cherry picking a few comments is not indicative of “everyone”

Especially cherry picking the ones YOU want and would never happen with single payer anyway - because even the vaunted NHS does not cover all pre-existing conditions, nor all medical conditions and has lifetime caps!

You’ve proven nothing except your support for Obamacare and socialized medicine.

Ted Cruz revealed the lie when he tried to defund Obamacare through “must pass” legislation, and the RINOs would not go along. Now their attitude seems to be, “Yes, we lied, but you can’t do a thing about it, so get lost.”

That's the inevitable result of giving people everything they want.

It has been -- or eventually will be -- the ruin of every modern democracy.

1. I do not support ObamaCare and socialized medicine.

2. I have a sense of detachment over the whole thing because I got myself an ObamaCare exemption -- so it really doesn't matter to me whether it stays or gets repealed.

I'll die a free man before I ever subject myself to the kind of nonsense that passes for government-regulated health care in this country.
