POTUS SLAMS SESSIONS AGAIN: He Endorsed Me Because of Big Crowds, Not Loyalty

In a brief interview with the Wall Street Journal, President Trump ripped into Attorney General Sessions once again. This time, the President cut even deeper, suggesting Sessions endorsed him because of Trump’s success as a candidate, not out of loyalty.

President Donald Trump  expressed his disappointment in Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday and questioned the importance of Mr. Sessions’s early endorsement of Mr. Trump’s candidacy, but the president declined to say whether he planned to fire him.

“It’s not like a great loyal thing about the endorsement,” Mr. Trump said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “I’m very disappointed in Jeff Sessions.”

While the President is still mum on his plans concerning Sessions, Scaramucci told NBC News a decision on the AG’s future will be made ‘shortly.’

Hmmm.

How many times has Trump done something crazy and inexplicable, and turned out to have had a good reason?

More often than anyone else I can think of.

Well maybe if his butt hurt cabinet members would be supportive of their boss rather than leaking like a sieve things would change

I see your point. I used to think highly of Session. He stood up against amnesty. So what has gotten into him? I see him now as a “do noting” AG. Something is odd.

Well, that's it then, if this headline is true.

Sessions is gone. There can be no doubt that the President doesn't want him as AG.

I don't know what the Hell has happened between them, but the notion that this is some kind of strategery between Sessions and President Trump just flew out the window definitively.

Those who are big fans of Jeff Sessions are going to have to face reality. He's out of here, and knowing how loyal Donald Trump is, there just has to be something serious which has come between the two.

I have no idea what it could be, but I would expect Jeff Sessions to resign forthwith. Indeed, if he doesn't, but instead forces the President to fire him, then that's a negative reflection of Sessions' character.

I'm flabbergasted at this development, but it clearly puts the lie to any notion that this was anything other than a bona fide falling out.

I wonder if it was an accumulation of things, or something very specific.

In any event, it won't be the President who's stepping down as a result of this. He's obviously furious about something, or some things.

Who will the next AG be? Any guesses? Because Sessions is gone. He serves at the pleasure of the President, and the President is not pleased...

Christie wouldn't be put in that position to do anything of consequence when it comes to the "Deep State."

His only job would be to announce indictments of various political figures and publicly berate and humiliate the media for their failure to cover the stories of those transgressions over the years.

No it isn’t disturbing at all

You wusses who gave no stomach for the fight need to buck up

The lousy leaky cabinet members who are busy telling tales out of school need to shut up or get out

“Trump can’t “fire” sessions because the GOPe will go after him -possibly impeach him.”

Since when did the chief executive firing an employee become a high crime or misdemeanor? Truman/MacArthur?
He can do whatever he wants with the people he appointed. They serve at his pleasure.
If the GOP-e joins with the `rats on a (uh) trumped-up charge, the American people go after the GOP-e.

Sessions #1 priority should have been the indictment of Hillary Clinton and that has not happened.

How could that possibly be his #1 priority when President-Elect Trump himself said that it wasn't going to happen? LOL.

This is hilarious: Sessions will end up resigning, but too late to run to fill his old seat in the Senate!

Welcome to the minority as I was told I was in this morning. Not sure why people continue to claim this is some ruse by sessions and trump unless they are just in denial

Hear hear - I don’t want an AG that thinks civil asset forfeiture is great for America. It disgusts me that a supposed conservative thinks it’s a great idea.

Roger Stone may not like Sessions but he is not Trumps good buddy. Stone always puffs his relationships to make himself look important

I seem to remember a lot of people saying the same thing last week, and insisting that Sessions would be gone by Friday.

Well, here we are ...
