If you believe any of those assumptions about Sessions, then you know nothing of this man’s long and honorable career and accomplishments.

I'm a huge fan of Jefferson B. Sessions. Huge. His Senate speeches and references to "masters of the universe" and "mandarins" are legendary in my mind. I watched the Senate "full time" for two years, kept notes, put 'em in blog posts. Out of 100 senators, Jeff sessions is my No.1. I view him as a genuinely good and thoughtful man. The number of other senators that I held as even "decent" is less than 5. DeMint, Coburn (but he;s lost my respect), Grassley is quirky, but not dishonest. The rest are full-on liars.
