We were out and about in the City last weekend. I was shocked at how few “no guns” signs I saw. We hit a show in Uptown, ate a hot dog in Lincoln Park at 1:30 am, and cruised LSD, all while armed.
It’s a real comfort. The CPD has just about had it with the Morlocks.
The problem won’t be fixed, because political correctness denies the truth. Chicago doesn’t have a violence problem, like St. Louis, Memphis, Atlanta, etc., it has a black-males-with-guns problem. Give any reasons for this that you want, but a small percentage of the population of this country is responsible for the majority of the crime. That is a fact, but apparently, facts are racist.
The mayor believes the problem will solve it’s self when the thugs kill each other down to the last one . This takes time just be patient .
........essentially the same thing could be said about Beirut, Tel Aviv, the former Saigon, Paris during the Nazi occupation, Capone’s Chicago, and many, many other cities around the world during the past 3/4 century. It’s an interesting phenom for sure.
The only problem I have with the gang banging dopers killing each other is that too often they kill little girls and little boys and old people.
Liberals are always trying to convince people that Rahm is a real badass. Doesn’t appear so.
Let’s hire the New York gangs to go in and wipe out the Chicago gangs.
Gang violence is a tool of the criminal political class. It leads to garrison communities.
Garrison communities are the foundation of a feral city or nation.
Looking at it realistically, the days of Article IV Section 4 are long gone.
Chicago PD had never been an impressive department. To political and drives in the far left lane if you know what I mean. The voters, politicians and even more lately due to obama’s open declaration of war on cops, the police themselves are content to see their city turned into a third world crap hole.
This downward spiral can be stopped with some political guts to do it but alas the voters keep voting for more. I don’t feel sorry for Chicago or its citizens one bit, they keep asking for it!

All the violent crimes stats are down - not just the murder rate. This is just a storyline being pushed by the MSM to support the NWO cabal’s gun control project.
1/2 of a street in Downtown St. Louis was filled with basketball goals (1990’s).
I was there on business and out for dinner late one night. And saw a good portion of the street blocked off for it (north and south street - was north of Union Station as I recall).
I’ve been past there at 0400 on a Saturday night and never felt threatened. OTOH, I recall Division Street as feeling like a hard DMZ-level boundary...and a visual one too.
They stay out of the Polish Neighborhoods! North Milwaukee Avenue is a no go zone!
Here in the western ‘burbs, not to be named, it could be the 1950’s , for all you could tell. I keep waiting ...
