quote-I was wondering that, too. Would John have known of Virgo? Or, especially, Leo.

Excellenece, There is also a man carrying a pitcher of water up there.
The world tends to call that one aquarius.

That sign is found in the bible, too.

That was referenced in two of the gospels specifically. (Mark and Luke I believe- direct quotes from the Lamb)

Here’s the verses in Mark 14:13
Go into the city, and a ‘man carrying a pitcher of water’ (aquarius) will meet you, follow him.14and whichever house he enters, say to the owner, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is My guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’
And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared. there make ready for us.

His Creation tells His plan. His Creation tells His story.
Written in His sky before written on paper.

And He declares where we are in His Plan, above our heads. And does so greatly at His Feasts.

Is it any wonder the world sort of ignores those for other days, feasts, festivals?

Nope.

The secret things belong to Him, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever so that we may do all the words of this law.

And it’s all for His Glory!

“a ‘man carrying a pitcher of water’(Aquarius?) ...too much of a stretch.”!!!! Folks living in cities and towns in the Roman era often had to fetch clean water from local wells or aquaducts and bring”such pitchers” to their houses. Christ via the Holy Spirit had already set things in motion with the owner of the house to have things ready when his disciples approached to “make ready” for the rest of them. Christ was showing his ability to act independently and providentially from his disciples in ways they could not even have imagined.

As for Aquarius...Ovid had this to say...”The king of the gods was once fired with love for Phrygian Ganymede, and when that happened Jupiter found another shape preferable to his own. Wishing to turn himself into a bird, he none the less scorned to change into any save that which can carry his thunderbolts. Then without delay, beating the air on borrowed pinions, he snatched away the shepherd of Ilium, who even now mixes the winecups, and supplies Jove with nectar, to the annoyance of Juno” (Metamorphoses X 154-160). The story has strong homoerotic overtones...hence “the annoyance of Juno”

Aquarius is also a summer constellation...not one too notable in the skies of the Northern Hemisphere in the March to late April time period when Christ is thought to have been crucified and resurrected.
