I took algebra in 8th or 9th grade and finished high school calculus in 11th.

Have standards dropped that much in 25 years? Amazing.

I remember taking Algebra in 9th, double math with Algebra II/Trig and Geometry in 10th, Pre-calculus in 11th, and Calculus in 12th.

The double math in sophomore year was optional, but a lot of us did it. Now people are enrolling in community colleges, and they can't read, write, spell, or do anything more complicated than multiplication and division.
