Arizona Sen. John McCain, a Russia hawk and occasional Donald Trump critic, blasted a report on the administration's new Syria posture just hours after revealing he had a cancerous brain tumor.

McCain's statement faulted the administration for reportedly ending a covert program begun during the Obama administration to provide arms to Syrian rebels battling President Bashar al-Assad.

'If these reports are true, the administration is playing right into the hands of Vladimir Putin,' the Armed Services Committee chairman said in a statement.

This story doesn't cover it, but McCain had a near death experience the other night and he described in great detail what heaven was like to his closest aides. He said that heaven was very hot, it smelled like sulfur and there were fires everywhere. Before he returned to his body he said that he was in a Karaoke bar and Idi Amin and Hitler were doing a great duet of Ebony and Ivory.

I've always disliked McCain - won't ever know how long the tumor has been growing in his brain or how much it has affected him - won't join his fan club but won't sink to the level some others have been doing either.

Sympathy for the inner man and his family are in order.

There was a movie years ago that McCain wrote the script for himself. It depicted him as the victim of upper class men at the Naval Academy who were “unfair “ and “sadistic “ to him. I believe the truth is that McCain was a jerk then, as now. I met him at the Pentagon when I was an officer, and he was a completely self absorbed guy.

That the vitriol came so quickly on the heels of an outpouring of prayer and best wishes by godly people, is a strong indicator that the demonic possession of McCain lies at the root of his problems: physical mental and spiritual.
