Police have received reports that two of the Burundi teenagers gone missing after an international robotics competition were seen crossing the border into Canada.
The search for all the teens is ongoing, but police have no indication of foul play in their disappearance, Metropolitan Police spokeswoman Aquita Brown said.
The teens seen crossing into Canada were 16-year-old Don Ingabire and 17-year-old Audrey Mwamikazi, Brown said.

Why the heck did they get visas for an entire year? Tourist visas are usually for 6 months. Those visiting for a specific event, like this team, is usually given until the end of the event. This event, the 2017 FIRST Global Challenge, was held July 16-18. A 3 day event doesn’t need a 365 day visa. Something stinks.

An entire year visa for attendance of a single event is ridiculous. I’ve given talks in other countries, and their immigration people want to know when and where the conference is, and when you will be leaving.
