Trump vs. the NAACP
American Thinker ^ | 7/20/2017

The NAACP is wailing to the heavens in response to President Trump's refusal to attend the organization’s 108th national convention in Baltimore next weekend. The NAACP is nonpartisan, the spokesmen indignantly cry. It serves the entire community. It has welcomed presidents to the convention for decades, including Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and somebody they call “Bush, Jr.” Even Barack Obama, who though not raised in the U.S. and who could scarcely be considered an “American black,” saw his way to attending the annual convention.

The reason, of course, is racism. “The President’s decision… underscores the harsh fact: we have lost – we’ve lost the will of the current Administration to listen to issues facing the Black community.”

Yet another paragraph follows, underlining the “racism” accusation without ever quite stating it explicitly: We fight to end racism, hatred and discrimination in the United States. Our branches fight for real issues like access to healthcare, a fair justice system, equal opportunity to education, an end to police brutality and the right to vote. When President Trump is ready to listen to us and the people we serve, we will be here. Until then, the NAACP will continue to strive for an America free from racism and continue to speak truth to power.

And of course, it has to be racism. What else could it be? What other reason could Trump possibly have to turn them down?

Well, as the record reveals, plenty. A brief examination of Trump/NAACP interaction clearly shows the organization spitting in the President’s face at every opportunity. A few examples from the past year: From September of last year:

Wendell Anthony, President of the Detroit NAACP, spoke with Roland Martin about Trump’s attempt to woo African-American voters and the upcoming meeting...

As a side note...

The Congressional Black Caucus has twice refused an invitation to meet with Trump.

The NAACP is a racist organization. The leaders are professional colored people, they are black for a living

“There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public.

Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles,
they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs
— partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays.

Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

Booker T. Washington

“we’ve lost the will of the current Administration to listen to issues facing the Black community.”

The “ISSUES” Are of their own making...PERIOD! They absolutely manufacture their own problems by ignoring the laws of society and laws. You can’t help anyone who will not help themselves! That’s the issue.

The emphasis on this little discussion is or must be on the qualification “some”

Tarring with a very big brush is of course not justified

Without the “race” card the naacp and all the other diverse multicultural minority organizations would have nothing to justify their existence.

Expect this inane rationalization to continue indefinitely.

Why bother with people who hate you? Ignore them.

At first, I was surprised the Colored People would even invite Trump. Why?

Then I figured out it was a trap. Wouldn’t surprise me if they booed his speech. Or made him a secondary non-keynote speaker.

Anything to embarrass him.

Not justified?

When it comes to the NAACP, it is completely and 100 percent justified. No other group is dedicated to professionally moaning and groaning about the “poor me” blacks than this these racists.

The NAACP is nonpartisan

That statement is non-reality.

The NAACP is a racist organization. The leaders are professional colored people, they are black for a living.

A great American once said "There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs." - Booker T. Washington

He described the NAACP leadership perfectly.

Finally we have a President who stands on principle and doesn’t kowtow to these kind of organizations which are relentlessly pushing their un-American agendas.

Amen and Praise the Lord!!!

Well, since the NAACP was founded by mostly whites, I don’t know why Trump wouldn’t be welcome other than that he is not a socialist. A better question to ask is why Black racists would want to belong to such an organization.

Most definitely. They do not speak for everyone.

I was bequeathed a FB page by an American service member that no longer had the time to properly run it due to his Afghan deployments.

As the immediate reason for the page faded away I decided to try to hold on to the 900+ members and take the page in a related but expanded direction.
I focused on Examining Racism and Promoting Unity and Mutual Respect.

Lost some members, likely those Black or White that had been there because of their racism but still held on to ~750 folks

I'll expose racists of any color but as importantly
I highlight folks of all 'races' who by their actions and words reject racism/bigotry and instead embrace
that we're all humans beings, children of the same Creator, intrinsically brothers and sisters, and work to bring together not tear apart.

The definition of racist can be quite fluid on attack. I sometimes fall into the trap of being “racist”

My criticism is not actually racial but cultural or subcultural. The concept of subcultures is abhorred by the “black leaders” because in order to prevail there must be unity. All people of color must be lumped together.

I don’t do facebook but did check out your effort. It is a worthy pursuit
