Sessions took the job handicapped with his recusal, all intended to placate the RATS to get him approved. Rats have a backbone, pubs are spineless and scared of their own shadow. As corrupt and despicable as they are, Lynch and Holder never buckled. Republicans need to develop an iron spine and not give a damn how the rabid opposition portray them. Exercising power is an art and they still have no clue.

I would disagree that rats have a backbone. They do, however, have cohesion. They will ignore what they feel is right and get the job done. They also are easily bought off.
A backbone is doing what is right for their constituents and being able to defend it to the point it changes others minds. That takes integrity, which seems to be the missing gene.
