The linked story included hyperlinks to the CV for each. I cannot take either of these women seriously as scholars. Their expertise is in a fantasyland of their own invention. Without student loans, each of these “professors” is unemployable.

I had never heard of Hopper and read her bio. It set me to thinking of an early pioneer in computers. He began at Berkeley, then Lawrence Radiation Lab. Assisted IBM, programmed and ran the first Univac held outside of strict government control. Worked with Wang, DEC and Lanier to enhance their programs. Died as he had worked, in anonymity. In contrast, Hopper who did far less, is usually remembered because she was a woman. Nuf said.
