Exactly. Whenever a human being makes a choice, they are discriminating.

Discrimination on its own is not a moral thing, any more than choosing chocolate over vanilla is a moral thing. Where it can be applied in ways that can be percieved as a moral thing is stuff like discriminating against someone because of their race and sometimes their sex. I say sometimes because it is not immoral to choose a woman as your wife rather than a man. Though there are some that would like to change that.

I’m in IT. Most of the things computer programs I have written in my career do can be described as “discrimination”. It’s a major part of what they do. It is what “binary” logic is all about.

Discriminate is not a dirty word. It is actually critical to living a happy life.
