That may have been generally true in the 50's but it is not near as true today. Certainly some are but for a multitude of reasons many are not. Outside of the fact that legal numbers are already high. We have become a nation that doesn't try real hard to assimilate but rather encourage maintaining you own culture and language. In addition we widely teach anti-American BS at our schools & elsewhere. We have turned immigration demographics on its head since 1965 and had an explosion of race /cultural grievance groups that are given a hugely disproportionate voice by our so called MSM.

New arrivals must be legal immigrants and they MUST speak English.

We also need a nearly full halt on all immigration for a few years to ascertain the damage done by the last 30 years of non-stop illegal infiltration.

This is old news. Even on the campaign trail Trump said that natural barriers would not need a wall, and in some places wouldn’t even need a fence.
