Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is asking top Trump administration officials to explain why a Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr. last year was allowed in the country.
Grassley, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson asking why Natalia Veselnitskaya was allowed to stay in the country when, according to court documents, she had to leave in early 2016.
"It is unclear how she was still in the country for that meeting despite being denied a visa beforehand and her parole purportedly expiring on January 7, 2016. This raises serious questions about whether the Obama administration authorized her to remain in the country, and if so, why?" Grassley wrote.
It's starting to look like we don't even have an AG, what the hell is he doing?
I mean he makes Mitch McConnell look like a *go getter*
They need somebody with some fire, solid principles and ability to communicate in a coherent manner (like Jay Sekulow)
Or Gowdy.
Sessions was not the first choice. He was a loyal early supporter though.

At some point we are going to have to stop putting any sort of hope, faith and trust in anyone of the GOP.
They have showed us time after time after time that they are not the ones who are going to end this. They are the ones who perpetuate this.
If we continue to look to them, then we are also part of the problem.
We finally sent one person to drain the Swamp. One.
And then we sent the whole Swamp back to stop him.
We have to do something else.
Yes, Kushner did disclose this meeting on his updated form. He - or a spokesperson - mentioned that he did not really consider this as a real meeting with foreign actor. NYT - right or wrong - claimed it was this delayed disclosure that put them on the track.
‘Apparently that’s how the story broke. Kushner’s legal team found the email exchange. Knew they had to disclose it. They updated the disclosure form. That leaked to the NYT.
Trump Jr. wisely got ahead of the story by just teeeting it out there. Ripped off the band aid quickly to get the pain over.
Who did the leak? That’s the first issue.
The legality is not the problem. This won’t lead to an indictment. It’s just to derail and distract.
Which isn't true because the loser NYT journo tweeted that he has been working on this story for over a year, and Trump Jr. pulled the rug out from under him by releasing the emails.
The GOPe wants to keep Obamacare. The want scamnesty. They want Trump weakened so he doesn’t back a primary challenger to them.
They are Democrats Lite.
Trump needs to use the considerable executive powers he has available.

And very quickly they were able to zoom in on the one meeting “of interest”, and get info about the e-mails etc etc. I think this has been in their drawers for a long while but they could not use the story without disclosing their sources. And note, this time it would have caused difficulty for their “sources/taskmasters” if they had used the common “anonymous intelligence source” given that this happened before the DNC hacks-leaks.
I think they want Trump impeached and removed from office, but of course they can’t do it themselves, so they are going to toss their majorities in the trash can by doing nothing, then let the demonrats do it.
Their intent was to throw the election to Hillary by nominating Jeb, and then they would have continued with their pretend opposition, but we didn’t let them, and they are pissed.
The whole damned government is a rigged show, and we threw a wrench in the gears of the machine. They gotta get that wrench out without breaking the machine.
Last I heard, Sessions and his Deputy Asst. were in Gitmo - checking out the place. Dang, I’m so disappointed with Sessions - and still upset over his recusal. He could also end this witch hunt by firing Mueller, but, I guess he’s too nice to do so. I never wanted him for AG and thought he’d be better working on immigration. He’s just too nice and too laid back for this job. Judge Jeanine would be great.
And did not both Harry Reid and HRC right at the end of the campaign almost reveal that they knew.about this (and the “dossier”) by claiming they were unfairly treated by the FBI who had not opened any investigation on the Russian collusion with the Trump campaign. I seem to remember at least Reid mentioning Trump tower and I don’t think it was only the computer connections he indicated. Though I could be wrong on that.

He’s doing some real special work - drugs. We need him to stop this Russian insanity, and go after the criminals involved. Geesh, as much as I detested Eric Holder, he seemed to go after the big stuff.
