"Michelle Van Cleave, former national counterintelligence executive during the George W. Bush administration, said China has been preparing for a major escalation of espionage and influence operations against the Untied States.
"Remember their cyber theft of some 22 million personnel files from the Office of Personnel Management?" Van Cleave said.
"The Chinese now have a detailed roster of most if not all American contractors and government employees who have access to classified information, plus a roster of their friends, colleagues, or coworkers who may be useful conduits or potential assets in their own right."

With that many spies, maybe I can find a honeypot around here somewhere.
Law of averages and all.

China is a great challenge with our financial-economic dependence on them.
They don’t want “escalation” in Korea as they stated last week after North Korea’s ICBM test.
Defenders of Dr. Henry Kissinger’s policies of friendship with China and the USSR said it was the right thing to do back in the 1970’s as a means of dividing the two countries who had border disputes over the years with some shooting.
I never was a big fan of Mr. Kissinger but perhaps he was onto something.
Russia should be an option for support in dealing with North Korea.

I am aware of a Chinese couple who live in a modest condo and have
bought 3 brand new vehicles within the span of a year. Red flag much? Also, the woman doesn't seem to have any kind of maternal instinct with her own child, almost as if the child ISN'T REALLY HERS ANYWAY AND THE WHOLE 'CHINESE FAMILY' THING IS A SHAM.
They are both unfriendly, won't even make eye contact and never seem to interact with each other in public. THE WHOLE THING IS A SHAM. THEY ARE SPIES AND MY SPIDEY SENSE-O-DOMETER SPIKES BIG TIME WHENEVER I SEE THEM.

Waaaaaay back in 1999, the Cox Report (as in former congressman Chris Cox, whose committee was looking into Klinton/Gore giving the Chicoms our missile and satellite technology in exchange for campaign contributions) concluded that there were thousands of undercover Chinese military operatives already in the USA. They were supposedly students, cultural attaches, businessmen, and other seemingly legitimate roles.
This is nothing new; we're only now awakening to what's been going on right under our sleeping noses for the last 20+ years.

It’s never spoken about in the media or beyond.
What better place to get information than from a reporter or D.C. hack?.

I’ve always thought the Chinese were a far greater danger for the US in the short and long term. But our government has always been hyper obsessed with the USSR/Russia and at the same time willing to overlook most anything where China is concerned.
We’ve given China practically everything they could want concerning trade while keeping Russia mostly still isolated and with only minimal trade with the US.
The information in this article is unlikely to change anything in how we favor China.

Totally off the subject at hand, but this article is nothing but a fluffed-up reposting of a Washington Free Beacon story, by Bill Gertz. This Hannah Mayer person has added nothing of substance, but has only repacked the work done by Gertz. A lot of this is going on there days...so-called "reporters" are in fact nothing but repeaters, piggybacking off someone else's work.
