Hitlery would have stepped on it then screamed at the Marine for putting the hat in her way and the media would demand the Marine be disciplined.
Only a God damned pussy would make a Marine hold an umbrella.
That photo was the first thing I thought of. MAGA also includes a deep respect for all of the Military!
Just thinking out loud here.
Love the look on the face of the Marine
DEFINING MOMENTS IN PRESIDENTIAL HISTORY
I watched this video.
This is an unscripted instinctive display of the mans character. President Trump is the embodiment of the Matthew 23:11 passage. He who is the greatest among you shall be the servant of all. This is an act of respect and compassion for this marine that a politician would never lower themselves to.
Hillary would never have reacted in that manner. It would be unthinkable to acknowledge a marine who foolishly lost his hat. How dare he display such careless behavior as to lose his hat in her regal presence! Obama is so narcissistic he wouldn’t even think about it if he stepped on it and ground it into the dirt. He’d joke about it later with his Spleef Gang.
But our president Donald Trump seeing this marine had lost his cover went after it for him. Tried to help him. Lent him an assistance as best he knew how. Although I’m pretty certain that the protocol for this type of thing is to let the hat fly and pay attention to the task at hand. Shepherding the president safely into the aircraft. But I liked this gesture. It was very human, spontaneous and civilian of him. I’m really pleased to have this man in the whitehouse.
In TOTAL CONTRAST to the America-hating TRASH that we had to tolerate for eight years.
In this situation, the Marine was not allowed to move from the “at attention” position with his hands by his sides. The ONLY time he came move from that position is if a threat to the President arises, in which case he is to take any action necessary to protect the President and elminate the threat.
Note: If you look carefully, you can see the Marine’s holster does in fact include a sidearm.
President Trump (I will NEVER get tired of typing that) apparently knew this so replaced the Marine’s “cover.”
Both acted wholly appropriately.
and the converse:
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Once more the nation is in good hands.
Actually, in the clip I saw, the Marine's hat blew off again, and an aide to the President tried to hand the hat to the Marine who was at attention, and the Marine was having none of it. He wouldn't break his stance to take the hat.
It’s not a hat.
Looked like a kite.
I believe it would have been perfectly appropriate for The Commander in Chief to have said, “At ease Marine. Please retrieve your cover.”
MSM: “Trump acting unpresidential again, showing he doesn’t have a grasp of the office.”
“Obama (sigh) would have never done that.”
“Trump used to chasing hats because his own hair is fake.”...
I don’t care what the proper procedure is for this. The President could have walked by it and had someone else pick it up, and it would have been perfectly acceptable... But he chose to pick it up, not just once, but twice.
The libs are saying this was all for show... if it was, it worked... It made me proud of our President!
OK, “ Marine cover”.
