LOL. Our family histories are similar. The "Yankee" side arrived in 1633, one signed the Declaration of Independence and served in Washington's cabinet. Many others fought in the Revolution. One of the proudest family artifacts is an officer's sword from the Civil War (Union). I didn't have the heart to tell my relatives that our family also bought some of the first slaves that landed in Boston.

The southern side got here slightly later, but still pre-1700 (by way of Georgia). AFAIK, the southern side never owned slaves, but some did fight for the South.

So how do I calculate my supposed guilt????

I saw a smart black man who was livid to to the Black Movement which he was a part of the the 1940's and 50's.

Blasted those lies Slavery and Jim Crow did not cause the unemployment and children born out of wedlock

Cited the blacks sense they took records that Blacks had lower unemployment and children borne in and lived in two parent families that blacks beat whites on those number until Progressive from Columbia destroyed the black family
