Killer Of U.S. Soldier To Get Apology And $10 Million From Trudeau Government

Canada’s Liberal government is prepared to provide an apology and $10 million to the confessed killer of a U.S. soldier who spent time to Guantanamo Bay.

According to multiple reports Tuesday, Omar Khadr will be compensated in part because his interrogation at the hands of Canadian security was deemed “oppressive” by the Supreme Court of Canada.

Khadar, who was born in Canada, was fighting with al-Qaeda forces in Afghanistan when he was 15. In a shoot-out with U.S. forces, Khadr confessed to killing U.S. Special Forces medic Sgt. Christopher Speer with a grenade.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is in Ireland en route to Friday’s G-20 Summit in Germany, would neither confirm nor deny the reports but strongly suggested their validity.

“There is a judicial process underway that has been underway for a number of years now, and we are anticipating, like I think a number of people are, that that judicial process is coming to its conclusion,” he told reporters.

Speer’s widow, along with another soldier who was blinded by the grenade attack, filed a wrongful death and injury lawsuit against Khadr in 2014 because they suspected Khadr might receive financial compensation if he was successful in appealing his sentencing.

A U.S. judge awarded the pair $134.2 million in damages in 2015 but the plaintiffs have acknowledged that they don’t expect to receive any of the money because Khadr lives in Canada.

Khadr was captured in Afghanistan and taken to Guantanamo Bay, where he was charged with war crimes by a military commission.

In 2010, he pled guilty to multiple charges, including murder, and received an eight year sentence. He was sent back to Canada in 2012, where he was supposed to serve the remainder of his sentence, but was released early in 2015 — to considerable criticism.

Justin Trudeau is now giving money to Al-Qaeda enemy combatant that killed U.S. Special Forces Medic Sgt. Christopher Speer with a grenade.

Why?

Because the interrogation was too "oppressive".

We were considering a trip to Banff, but will not spend a nickel in a country that rewards the killer of an American Army medic with an obscene amount of money plus an apology. Unbelievable. They obviously don’t need more money if this is what they use it for.

I suspect Trudeau doesn't realize the message he's sending: kill an American, come to Canada, get $10 million.

Naw.... he just ain't that smart!

The U.S. should recall it’s ambassador to Ottawa.

Since Papa Doc was a WW2 draft dodger and anti-American friend of Fidel Castro;

Why shouldn’t Baby Doc be a moslem-loving anti-American globalist ?

From the text. .....but was released in 2015 to considerable criticism.

The Conservative minority opposition have shown some displeasure. I could not understand the comment attributed to General Romeo Dallaire of the Canadian armed forces. An early report said he supported early release and compensation for this individual. Then I saw a report saying he said " a terrorist has been compensated".

I hope to be excused here for my own take on this matter. I revert back to my early background from London,England. I would shout this at Justin Trudeau and company.

You have still got two eyes to see with, you bloody sods!

Looks like Trump needs to turn his attention to the north!

Something seems to be terribly wrong there.

Glad somebody posted this again. Not your fault, the search engine doesn’t always catch previous postings.

This guy should never have been in prison. He is an enemy combatant, not a terrorist, not a criminal.

Just in.

The Canadian Taxpayer Federation has just launched a petition to the government. It is to deny this individual his ten million. I just signed it. The debate is now brewing and questions being asked. Just how far it will go, I would venture not all the way. Still, many Canadians ain't so happy with this business. Not to be tarred with the same brush here.

Find good photos of Justin Castro and Fidel Castro, in profile.

Their ears are not merely similar. They are IDENTICAL.

You can’t imagine how true Canadian patriots like myself loathe everything about Khadr and his whole Jihadi family. This POS should be dead. I hope other Canadians realize he could have just as easily killed a Canadian soldier in that warzone. As I told my wife, evil prevails in this world. This needs to get Trump’s attention. Put Canada on a terror watch list.

Not only that it sounds like the court is neutering CSIS with this decision.
