Good point! The AMT was written to tax a VERY FEW top earners who avoided paying taxes. It then expanded to cover millions. This would be a good fix for such problems: Specify those to be taxed by NAME.

I have said this for years. If higher taxes don’t really hurt anyone and the benefit out weighs the pain then tax democrats at 100% no deductions but don’t let Republicans access any of the new programs.
