What google ought to do is give you choice.
Put about 5 buttons on the top of the search page. These buttons are sorting mechanisms.
Sort by [Popularity] [Content] etc... or something like that. That way, if you want to find what is “trending” you can do that, or simply do a word or content search.
Something like this could be handled by choice of language buttons:
English, Spanish or Newspeak.
