The president has a huge impact on the country’s political culture. Trump’s misuse of the bully pulpit ensures that that impact is negative in his case. So, he did it again. As we’ve learned countless times since his inauguration, President Trump is the exact same person as celebrity Trump and candidate Trump. He’s crass, vicious, and petty. I don’t pay much attention, anymore, to the Never Trumpers at National Review. President Trump has taken the full brunt of criticism, vileness, dishonesty, FAKE NEWS, etc, etc. One of the criticisms of President Bush was that he never fought back and defended himself from the criticism he received, mostly from the media. President Trump, as those of us who voted for him expected him to do, will not take out-of-line criticisms without some pushback. Quite frankly, I’ll take any tweet from President Trump as the truth and critism from those like NR as nothing more than cry baby tantrums. TWEET AWAY Mr. President!!!!
