Bahlsen is a German food company based in Hanover. It was founded in July 1889 by Hermann Bahlsen as the “Hannoversche Cakesfabrik H. Bahlsen”. Led by his grandson Werner Bahlsen, the company remains in family control. German politician Ernst Albrecht was CEO of Bahlsen in the 1970s and the press gave him the nickname, “Cookie Monster”.

My traveling days are over but I would definitely look into this if I were younger.

My granddaughter just spent 4 months in Europe,visited about 6 countries and loved it. No problems at all.

Given that the source of this was “The Hill”, I can easily consider that it may have been blown out of proportion, and it was only a very few that did it.
