I've just run a report of hotels in the area. I'll be alone so I need to be close where I can get in safely before dark. Does anyone have a particular recommendation? Otherwise I'm booking the closest one I can find. I only live in Fairfield County CT but I think I'll have to fly because I have ZERO city driving experience. That said, there will be no stopping me! I will be there for our POTUS and our cause!

I hope you have a good time at the rally.
Just my opinion, but you may want to wait till you have reached your destination, already checked, already order any meals for room delivery before you put on your favorite Trump T-Shirt or Red Cap. I’m only half joking.
It should NOT be that way, but it is.
The Dems have become feral animals in too many instances.
Of course, there are some conservatives who welcome a confrontation, and say ‘Bring It On!’.

The DC Metro (subway) is safe and easy to use. I will be driving to DC and then taking it. Check out the neighborhood around the station if you do this. The red line in Maryland and the line going into Virginia should be ok.

I live in Fairfield County, CT also. Why don't you just take Amtrak? I did for the Sept 2009 rally, the Nov 2009 rally and the Oct 2013 March on the Memorials. Marriott Courtyards exist nearby, and not badly priced.

Take one of those cheap buses between NYC and DC.They run frequently from "downtown" to "downtown" and they only cost about $15-$20 each way.
