My specific issue is that life happens, and unless the Sheriff can “see” into my specific future and personally guarantee me with their life that no circumstances will ever exist in my lifetime to warrant self-protection outside my home for me or my family, then the entire argument is bogus.
Since most if not all Sheriff’s are an elected position, I assume political donations (where bigger is better) for a running contender would be in line to assure you can exercise 2A rights in those areas.
