Until the REGULAR PEOPLE (you know the ones who actually pay the damned bills) in states such as NEW JERSEY are able to carry,
I could care less what the congress people want.

With increased attacks in public I have the right to defend myself instead of dying for some stupid liberals belief.

I see that the congress people are concerned that any member of congress should be able to carry anwhere.

Mighty elite of them to think I should have to die while running away or hiding...

I just wonder if the Congress critters will have to endure the very same anal exam that those of us who have carry permits (I’m in Texas) had to go through.

My gut tells me that there are more than a few who would not be able to do that.

If only there was a body of power that could change this...

Kinda reveals the utter stupidity of those in congress.

I think it’s not a dig; it’s saying if there were more CCW’s, not just uniformed cops, then there’d be a better chance of stopping an attacker sooner.

Crime drops when more people have CCW’s, and if there are —less— gun-free zones, the better.

HEADLINE: Congress Enforces the Second Amendment - (but only for themselves).

Funny, they usually exempt themselves from laws.

>National reciprocity for concealed weapons carry.

Already exists. Called the 2nd Amendment. No need to add any more verbiage to an already simple (least to non-Elite educated aristocrats) English.

>If only there was a body of power that could change this...

Yes, if only We the People would rise up to retake what is rightfully ours. Unfortunately, the Tree hasn’t been watered in quite some time and the People complacent in their shackles of Democracy.

>Just like marriage (how the SCOTUS forced gay marriage on America) and drivers licenses...

Sorry, I, for one, don’t wish to hang my hopes upon 9 un-elected oligarchs. We’ve seen, as you pointed out, how well their ‘logic’ coincides w/ the Constitution: ‘gay marriage’, O’Care, Kelo, RvW, ‘Sep. but equal’, etc.

Why anyone, especially here, would entrust ANY branch of govt is beyond me. Govt lives to server govt.

I was reading it from the msm point of view, since they’ve made the argument that even radical islamists can legally purchase and carry a firearm.

>> then there’s those pesky DC laws when they go from the practice field directly to the office <<

Don’t think that’s the main problem. Members of Congress have constitutional immunity when at work or on the way to work. My understanding is that the reason they can’t carry at the Capitol has to do with Congress’s own internal regulations.

The shooting death/murder of Seth Rich has faded from the headlines......I wonder why???

It seems that this would be the perfect example of self preservation. If Seth had CCW he could have protected himself.........

Many lawmakers have gun permits, but we can’t use them in D.C.

Many CITIZENS have 'gun permits', but WE the PEOPLE can't use them in D.C.

WE the PEOPLE are far more important than our elected servants.

Amen...I CC’d in CA for years w/out a permit before I fled to TX.

I don’t recall any language in the 2A about permits...or in the Bill of Rights at all for that matter.

Clearly you didn’t read the discussion of the ‘Right to Privacy’ and the ‘Separation of Church and State’ in the federalist papers.

Mr. Lott, who worked with me on this article, and I have talked to some of the congressmen and staffers who were there during the attack. They uniformly want to change the District of Columbia’s gun-control laws.

If they wanted to change it, they would. They have ultimate control over the District of Criminals, if only they would exercise it. That they choose not to tells you everything you need to know about what they really want.
