Interesting info WRT the author of this OP. I wonder if his views have changed since 2010?
However, he isn’t wrong on his report about there being NO tradition of US presidents holding Iftar dinners since Jefferson. With the exception of Clinton, Bush and Obama, no such tradition existed and Thomas Jefferson despised the Muslim religion and its history.
