The rapid pace of change in American life does not exempt politics. Witness how fast Democrats are cycling through scapegoats.
First came Hillary Clinton. When she emerged to gripe about all the reasons she lost last year, except herself, party activists told her to be quiet and go away. She has, for now.
Next came Nancy Pelosi. When Republicans won four contested special elections for House seats, disgruntled Dems turned their fire on their minority leader, telling Pelosi it was time to get out of the way. She refuses, for now.
And now comes Barack Obama. The former president, shredding what was left of his promise not to interfere with his successor, is joining the fight against the repeal of ObamaCare. He called the Senate bill an example of meanness, and pledged to campaign for the Democrat in the Virginia governors race.
For Republicans, luck cant get much better. While Clinton and Pelosi were hardly innocent bystanders in the historic rout of Democrats at every level of government, the main culprit was Obama.
It was Obamaism, more than Clintonism or Pelosism, that elected Donald Trump and gave the GOP both houses of congress. The former presidents coercive liberalism at home and appeasement abroad led to the greatest upset in American politics.
His two biggest achievements, ObamaCare and the Iran nuclear deal, were sold on the backs of lies. President Trump is Obamas legacy.

I never thought I’d thank OVomit for anything. Never say never!
This may be true, but it is not the whole story. Trump won because he had a vision for America. The genius of his MAGA campaign was that the future of our beloved Country will mirror our great past!
Expensive *gift*, though.
OTOH, if McCain had somehow won, he would have simply handed it to Hillary in 2012.
We live in the best timeline.
Correct. Heck, he would have appointed her SecState.
But to the above poster also yes. Trump won for what he stood for, not just because the libs failed.
Good point. We can only say this because our country survived the BO years. It was a close call. Could have just as easily gone the other way.
Trump won partly because he wasn’t part of the political elite
A high price indeed. The damage to the military and it’s culture alone is almost incalculable. Trump is starting rebuild but as far I can see he is doing nothing to tear down the corrosive leftist agenda inflicted on the military.
“Obamas decision to wring his hands and take no action until after the election, when he imposed minor sanctions on individual Russians, might explain his teams efforts to pin the collusion tag on Trump. Those charges, made mostly by anonymous leaks, are catnip to the Democratic media and distract attention from Obamas failure to respond to what has been described as a Russian act of war”
Obama’s Russian rhetoric was as overheated as his retaliation was weak. The Republican response to alleged Russian hacking attempts needs to avoid the overheated rhetoric part. “Act of War” demands a strong diplomatic response backed by threat of military action — to do less makes you look as weak as Obama.
Besides, the US has a record of election interference (Obama in Israeli elections for example). Anybody in the Media accept the fact that Obama committed an Act of War against Israel? I thought not.
Pendulum swing. Not always even, but big or small there is always some movement in the opposite direction.
Obama would not have been elected twice if it weren’t for his race and the race politics of the left. So two terms of a horrible president begats a good one with conservative values. The so called conservative republicans in congress don’t want it. They’re happy being the overpaid loyal opposition and they love the smell of fetid swamp water.
Interesting. Now the shoe is on the other foot. The people know the country was wrecked the last 8 years, but ya can’t blame Obama for it, that would be raciss’, so the rest of the democrat party gets to take the fall.
Obama’s legacy = President Trump!
“Liberalism?”....more like communism/marxism

Yes...A pretty big part, IMO.....
Trump is responsible for the Trump victory. The author could have made exactly the same argument in 2012 if the Republicans had nominated a better candidate and won the election.
Mr Trump won because he said we would build a southern wall. Let’s get started on it already.
And now comes Barack Obama. .. is joining the fight against the repeal of ObamaCare. He called the Senate bill an example of meanness, and pledged to campaign for the Democrat in the Virginia governors race
and then he skipped town for a vacation.
Not just the culture of the military but the overall culture. Obama gave us homo marriage, mainstreamed transgenderism, pregnant “men”, gender confusion, perverts in girls bathrooms and changing rooms, and on and on.
