Completely agree. The strategy I would pursue if I had the power to make the call: leave everything just as it is. Obamacare will still be Obamacare, with no Republican fingerprints on it. It will collapse of its own weight in 2-5 years, maybe sooner. Then the lesson will have been learned in the only way lessons get learned, bitter experience. And maybe, just maybe, the Republicans won’t try to pick up the pieces but just leave it to the private sector and individual medical providers and consumers to find their own ways to manage their own health needs. The poor will have to rely on the charity of their fellow citizens, who will be there once it becomes clear that the government will not and cannot do it.
