The Obama administration did little or nothing about Russian meddling because they assumed it was a foregone conclusion that Hillary was going to win the election. As the article states, they din’t want to do anything that could possibly taint Hillary’s “big win.”

Maybe the source of "interference" was in the polls. A Russian variation of freep-a-poll that was very convincing.

The dimocrats were starting to talk up Russian interference before the election. I think they looked at it as a backup plan, if Hillary lost, they could blame the bad guys and maybe get the election thrown out, so made no effort to stop them.

Also, it would give them some talking points when someone mentioned their own cheating, illegal votes, etc.

Not a very good plan or a perfect theory, but we are talking about zero here.

Obama used the “Russian Hacking” as an excuse to spy on the opposition party during an election... plain and simple.
