I’m not germphobic, but can you imagine how unbelievably NASTY those kiosts are going to be? Little booger eaters swiping their slime all over it...

Yep. Nothing to offer in the way of job skills and a decline in the welfare state will lead to dangerous conditions.

Ow! Now I would have reported that guy to the district office and he’d be looking for a new job.

After I got my money back and left!

Any special order just throws a wrench into the gears. Many years ago, I’d make up something on the order of 200 cheeseburgers (we kept them in steamed drawers) for the lunch crowd. Then special orders never got messed up.

McDonald’s policy is that a burger has a shelf life of 4 minutes or so and then they toss them into the garbage. Especially if it’s a franchise because they worry about getting hassled. My father was at one and the franchisee would toss food like popcorn.

That’s but one reason I avoid urban areas even moreso, now. I have experienced the true disaster of an economy. I’m here to tell you most won’t survive it.

It was a rude awakening even for me. You learn a lot about people and not in a good way.

I have hand cleaner in one of my cars and intend to get some for the other one.

I’m a confirmed germaphobe (not a recovering one) when it comes to bathroom doors....seen too many other guys (about 1/2 I’d say) walk out without washing their hands (began to notice it at a client’s office about 15 years ago).

eek

I’m running for the Phisohex! /David Puddy

I’d generally not be supportive of this at a time when folks need jobs in this nation, even low paying ones.

Unfortunately the Left has worked it’s magic once again, and so fast food joints had no other option.

I’m not sure how many employees this will really save a fast food joint, because someone will still have to pick the order, and someone else will have to deliver to the table.

It would be interesting to see some figures on that.

[I ask the manager about it and he took his finger...bare finger...and scraped off the tomato, onion and whatever else and handed it back to me...]

BTW, I’m sure you know - that’s more than likely a health department violation. Could have had them shut down for a day or two over that.

He would have been fired - immediately.

The age-old question: when all the workers are replaced by robots, who will buy the hamburgers (and cars, and computers and shoes etc. etc.)?

Just had that problem myself the other day.

Ordered a specific sandwich. The person verified what I wanted. Told them once again, specifically.

At the table I realized they charged me for a burger that was $1.00 more and larger than the one that had been requested.

Didn’t want the larger burger. At that point I just ate the thing and forgot about it.

It’ll save plenty. There are often multiple people needed to cover one job. Managers need to cover for employees who get sick, call in sick, don’t come in at all, get fired, have a conflict with another job. The kiosks will tale care of those. Folks who want to work in a restaurant better learn how to repair and maintain the machines.

Good one.

Boy, what if someone Photo-shopped Hillary in front of a McD order kiosk, maybe with Putin’s face in one of them and Hillary screaming “Russia!! Russia!! Russia!!”?

Imagine that....

And Hillary pushing a stolen shopping cart down a street screaming the same thing.

It’s just a couple of ideas......

Now that snowflakes won’t have these jobs they’ll be pushing for the basic income as a means to compensate.

I’m with you. So much easier to deal with the kiosk, plus my children love to help me order.

$15 an hour didn’t bring it on but it surely expedited it. Now the remaining burger flippers need to push for $30.
