Early last August, an envelope with extraordinary handling restrictions arrived at the White House...The intelligence captured Putin’s specific instructions on the operation’s audacious objectives — defeat or at least damage the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, and help elect her opponent, Donald Trump.

This is completely made-up fantasy land. This is like a script for The West Wing - the type of Administration the liberals always imagine they have when they have a Democrat president.

In reality, the Obama Administration found out the hapless Russians were dumping fake news on Facebook. They didn't shut it down since it was so pointless and dopey, but the intelligence agencies decided they could use it to smear the Trump campaign, and Hillary/Obama jumped at the opportunity.

And as it happens, Ellen Nakashima, who was involved with Alperovitch’s Crowdstrike in the original reporting on the DNC server was a moderator at the 2018 cybersummit in California put on by the Aspen Institute and moderated the board which included Crowdstrike:
