House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is facing doubts about her leadership of the House Democrats following the stinging defeat of Jon Ossoff in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District special election on Tuesday by Republican Karen Handel.

Criticism came from House Democrats as well as pop star and film icon Cher who tweeted, “CONGRESSIONAL RACE IS NOT OLYMPICS,THERES NO MEDALFOR 2nd PLACE‼️I ADMIRE & RESPECT NANCY PELOSI,BUT IN“EVERY”RACE,GOP RUNS AGAINST HER”

Politico reported in an article headlined "Pelosi faces growing doubts among Dems after Georgia loss":

“I think you’d have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top,” said Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas)

I look forward to the psychodrama over a leadership battle between Reps. Steny Hoyer and James Clyburn.

Progressives are the gift that keeps on giving, continually watching them spiral out of control is pure entertainment.

Democrats have yet figure out that people have had enough of their bullying tactics and the fact that the people have decided to fight back against the bully has completely escaped them. We’re not taking your shit anymore...

I consider all the dems who stand in front of the camera and I don’t see one who could rally more than 40% of electorate

Such objectivity being shown by Democrats is very rare.

It’s their own fault for voting her back into the leadership position. Republicans have the same problem with Ryan. He is not on board the Trump agenda, yet they voted him back in. The dems have the problem with that nut job that’s head of the DNC too.

True, but the centrist voters they need are abandoning them. Trump’s nationalist agenda, while ridiculed by the conservative establishment, was his key to victory. Those white working class voters that had voted for Democrats, by and large since Reagan’s presidency, went in big numbers to Trump last November. The Democrats need to get some of those voters back and I don’t see that happening because they keep kowtowing to the far left elements of their party, and are not hiding an obvious and growing hostility to whites.

They’ll predictably try and go to the “center”, but that won’t work.

Pelosi is the center of the democrats, if not the moderate right. Cutting her loose will cause an even bigger lurch to the left.

We conservatives need to support Pelosi any way we can. I’m boycotting Cher performances...actually wasn’t going anyway.

No, I really believe she is certifiably ill. I know it’s hard to overlook her internal hatred, but I’m a forgiving person. I just hope she gets the mental health treatment she needs
