His overall premise of guns being the “third-leading cause of death for children in America” is also completely untrue, and it’s not even close. Here are the top causes of child death, ages 0-14, per the CDC 2014 report:

“Certain conditions originating in the perinatal period”, 11,895 “Congenital malformations, deformations and chromosomal abnormalities”, 5,493 “Symptoms, signs and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings, not elsewhere classified”, 3019 “All other diseases”, 1846 “Other and unspecified non-transport accidents and their sequelae”, 1427 Transport accidents, 1302 “Malignant neoplasms” (cancer), 1225 Cardiovascular diseases, 903 “Assault (homicide) by other and unspecified means and their sequelae”, 667 Accidental drowning, 647 All firearm related death combined, 459

Didn’t the VA governor say that 93 million people a day in the US are killed with guns?

If you go to the main article it reveals that the author of the Newsweek article just made up every single one of his numbers and “facts” out of thin air. Nothing he says is backed up the sources he cites. Nothing.

The Governor misspoke and corrected himself in his response to the follow up question. While an indication of the mindset, it was still a slip of the tongue.

Liberals think it’s OK to lie if it helps them win... psychopaths think the same way. Maybe there’s a connection that should be looked at.

Give him some slack, you know he misspoke and probably meant 9.3 million/day, not 93 million.

naturally, the rest of the enemedia will site this “3rd leading cause of death” lie ad nauseam.

one of their major fake news tricks is that if a single source publishes a number, no matter how phony, then the rest of the enemedia repeats it a billion times as if it’s gospel.”

“The Governor misspoke and corrected himself in his response to the follow up question.”

the “follow up question” was a helpful “don’t you mean 93” hint from an enemedia reporter, something that would NEVER have been given to a a Pub. and in fact it took TWO such promptings before the gov would correct himself.

A NYC councilman said this week on Tucker Carlson that year to date 27,000 children have died from firearms. They just pick their facts from thin air without the slightest hesitation.

The Governor misspoke and corrected himself in his response to the follow up question.

No, the nitwit said that several times and it was only when someone questioned his stupidity that the light of reality dawned.
