I realize folks LOVE their athletics in schools, but millions upon millions are pumped into these programs where few ever make it a career.

Schools should prepare students for life after school. College is not for everyone, nor can everyone afford it. Job skills are what is important. Electricians, Mechanics, Welders, plumbers...and the rest.

In our area, they put these multimillion dollar bond proposals on the ballot for schools. Then these bozos take these millions and build elaborate high school sports complexes. Torques me.

My youngest graduated this year/ He’s headed for the skilled trades. Several of his friends are too. My wife was talking with a friend yesterday who’s son is doing the same.

I can’t be more proud of them, or of our President for recognizing the value and the worth of work, at any level.
