The senior Justice Department official with ultimate authority over the special counsel's probe of Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 election has privately acknowledged to colleagues that he may have to recuse himself from the matter, which he took charge of only after Attorney General Jeff Sessions' own recusal, sources tell ABC News.

What Trump should do because he could do it without being accused of interfering with the investigation, is fire McCabe and Rosenstein. That would leave Mueller out on a long limb by himself.
Replace them with a Rudy or similar type person and Mullen would be under the microscope.

No. McCabe is FBI. The #3 at Justice will take over, and she is no swamp dweller: she was appointed by Trump. Not ONE Democrat voted to confirm her.
