TRUMP APPROVAL AT 50%
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 6.16.2016 | self

Posted on 06/16/2017 6:45:38 AM PDT by billyboy15

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.

This is the first time the president’s overall approval rating has hit the 50% mark since late April. His approval rating has ranged from a high of 59% in late January shortly after he took office to a low of 42% in early April.

The latest figures include 31% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 42% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. (see trends).

It wore on me real damn fast.

I stopped watching news altogether. I do not need that in my life.

I only continued to watch Tucker and Hannity, but even they might get the old heave ho if they are not careful.

I do not need to hear from the vast majority of Tucker’s guests, they’re total idiots, and I do not care what they think, and I am getting very tired of hearing endless loops of various leftist hate speech on Hannity.

Up/down/up/down/up/down. All BS.

************************************************************

Well, polls go up and polls go down. polls are generally BS but sometimes there are pollster who make a legitimate effort and Rasmussen per his track record is one along with the LAT/Dornsife poll who over the past few election cycles has been amazingly accurate not just in “who will you vote for” but also in the sub text of questions asked of respondents such has which candidate is more trustworthy, likeable, better for our security, better for our economy etc.

Both Rasmussen and LAT/Dornsife are tracking polls nad are constantly (daily) updated as opposed to other polls which are taken infrequently and involve smaller samples making them a snapshot in time as opposed to the tracking polls which show the evolving mindset of a set number of LIKELY voters (Rasmussen=1500, LAT/Dorn=3000).

The methodology is on the site. It is not as simple as yes or no.

I agree with what you are saying, I’m just talking about general public perception.

You and I both know that the GOPe is a bigger threat to him than the Dems. You have to give congressional Dems one thing, when they demand everyone line up and vote the party line, for the most they do it. We could use a little bit of that.

He needs to address the American people outside of Twitter..like hold another campaign rally in Michigan or Pennsylvania.

"This is going to be like the special investigation into Bill Clinton. The public reacted poorly to it and the republicans got punished electorally. This will be much the same."

Unfortunately, the big difference is that Clinton had a fawning media cheering him on, all the while demonizing Ken Starr.

Like Trump? Try this....
Went to a local restaurant last night and asked the hostess

“Do you give a discount for seniors” ... NO

“How about a discount if you voted for TRUMP”

She didn’t know what to say... but got a good laugh !

PS
Hope nothing was added to my meal!!

Sometimes I wonder that they know impeachment will hurt the globalist cause and they will just try to pressure people in the administration to resign instead.

I am wondering how a two year campaign of seething hatred will manifest itself at the ballot box in 2018? Hopefully the great wishy washy middle will be turned off by it.

Remember what we (should have) learned from the last election about polls. People still go on and on about methodology, sample sizes, etc as if the goal of these polls was to actually assess the sense of Americana by statistically valid means. That is false! These polls are political propaganda, skewed or made-up to try to influence your thinking.

Amazed so many FReepers still fall for it, every time the word “poll” is posted here. Sad.

If the dems think that all these investigations and crap are going to get them votes in 2018, I think they will be sorely disappointed.

The assassination attempt will move the fence sitters. They will all come down on the right side of the fence.

That's rather optimistic.

In 2018, send as many Dems as possible into retirement.

That will reduce mischief from them and from RINOs.

In 2020, replace as many RINOs as possible with American patriots.

This is how we make Congress great again...

Rasmussen has been much more trustworthy than Gallup. Gallup screwed up on the 2012 elections so much, that the firm didn’t even poll the 2016 election. Rasmussen on the other hand was arguably the single most accurate poll last year, as their final poll predicted a 2% popular vote win for Hillary, which is what happened. Add to this the fact that Gallup used to show Obama’s approval ratings 3-5% higher than the other presidential approval rating polls on average, then it’s quite clear that the Gallup poll has been a partisan joke for a while now.

The left loves to cite Gallup, because they don’t care about accuracy, only about making Trump look bad.
