The special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election is investigating President Donald Trump for obstruction of justice, the Washington Post reports.
The Post, citing two unnamed sources, says special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe expanded to include the president just days after he dismissed former FBI Director James Comey. The source, billed as familiar with Mueller’s thinking, says the special counsel currently views the matter as a “he said-he said” situation.
Marc Kasowitz, the president’s personal counsel, denounced this latest leak.

Trump showed a little sympathy to Hillary, “she’s suffered enough”, either through his own contemplation or mostly likely urged by his daughter. So he decided not to “lock her up” so there was no need to change FBI director immediately. Had he decided to go through with his pledge to “lock her up”,he would have had to fire Comey on day 1 as Comey had already cleared Hillary of any wrongdoing.
Whatevs. Alan Dershowitz is right when he says since the President is in charge of the FBI, he cannot obstruct justice by telling the director not to investigate something.
By virtue of his position, he has authority to order what he thinks should happen. He denies doing that, by the way—but even if he DID do it, it would be within the purview of his power as head of the executive branch.

What frustrates me is the sense that nothing is being done to fight the hoax the MSM has mounted against Trump. The Republicans control the entire Federal government and, still, everyone is paralyzed, or act as if they are paralyzed and helpless.
But Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are not helpless. They are complicit.
What is the CIA director doing? He has access to all kinds of secrets. What exactly is Sessions doing? What is Dan Coats doing? Why can’t they leak some things?
Sessions really seemed like a good idea at the time, but it isn’t working. Now he’s wasting time on legal pot instead of the leakers and investigating the Clintons. We need a pit bull, not grandfather’s teddy bear.
