Am Ex said they are not sponsoring the Shakespeare Julius Ceaser play. (Just talked to a customer rep this morning). What do you make of this post:

AMEX keeps saying that they are not funding the play. But I’ve heard nothing to say that they aren’t funding the organization itself. Money is fungible ... the organization putting on the play just puts AMEX money in their left front pocket and take out money to fund it from the right front pocket. That gives them all deniability.

As BlueLancer just pointed out, money is fungible so AMEX is trying to get away with a half-truth by claiming it funds the whole season and not this specific play. Delta Air Lines and Bank of America could have made the same wimpy claim but neither did, so I call BS on American Express.

And I can't resist one more comment, georgiegirl. "Hey, there!"
